Sunday Morning Coffee
I’ll be honest, I’ve been hearing & reading about Conrad Plymouth for quite some time, but I’d never really given him a listen. I finally gave in and bought his album after I saw posts about him on www.slowcoustic.com and www.muzzleofbees.com earlier this week. I’m 3 songs in and already know this album will be on repeat for quite some time. Reminds me a lot of Joe Pug and Joey Kneiser of Glossary.
Sunday Morning Coffee
It’s been a while since I woke up early enough on a Sunday to enjoy a coffee. The first song that came on my iTunes shuffle was “Cakewalk” by an extremely underrated indie/americana band called The Snake, The Cross, The Crown. There’s been days at work where I put their album Cotton Teeth on repeat all day. I’m not at work, but I think today will be one of those days…
Best of 2010
I know it’s almost the end of January already, but I put together a Best of 2010 list back in December and realized that I had only posted it on my Facebook and not on here. The song on this post is “All Choked Up Again” off Ryan Bingham’s Junky Star album.

Sunday Morning Coffee
On Sunday mornings I typically like to sit around, have a cup of coffee and pick an album on my itunes to listen for a couple hours before I attempt to get out and do something productive.
Right now, I’m having a cup of coffee that my sister sent me from Hawai’i and I’m listening to Blaze Foley’s “Oval Room” album. I only just recently came across this Blaze while I was reading about Townes Van Zandt. Van Zandt was once quoted saying, “He’s only gone crazy once…decided to stay”. Blaze was an amazing singer/songwriter who wrote great lyrics. In 1989, he was shot and killed by his friend’s son while trying to help.
Oh and…. this song is how I got the name for this awesome blog
